San Francisco Investment Conference: Heavy-Hitters to Probe Mission Related Investing

San Francisco, CA -- August 25, 2008 -- Calling it "the investment trend that could change the world," Correlation Consulting today announced the annual Taking Action on Mission Related Investments conference, to be held September 9 and 10, 2008 in San Francisco (www.takingactionconference.com). An Ernst & Young study found VC investment in green tech grew 18 percent during Q1 of 2008, while general U.S. VC investing declined 7 percent.

Institutional asset owners say they will increase their responsible investments by $137 billion by 2011, according to an RI Landscape 2008 Asset Owners survey.

66% of global managers surveyed believe that Environmental, Social and Governance criteria (ESG) will be integrated into mainstream processes and strategies in 3 to 10 years, according to Mercer Fearless Forecast 2007.

Roughly 14% of ultra high net worth individuals invest in green technologies and alternative energy sources, with half citing financial returns as their top motivation, according to a Capgemini/Merrill Lynch World Wealth Report 2008.
