Americas Watchdog Wants To Talk To Every Homeowner Whose Home Builder Provided Them With Mortgage & Title Insurance Services
(PRWEB) April 28, 2008 -- Americas Watchdog & its National Mortgage Complaint Center have just initiated a national investigation into home builders offering consumers mortgage products and title insurance from 2005-2007. The National Mortgage Complaint Center wants to examine if the homeowner was gouged by the home builder in the mortgage, or title insurance process.
According to the group, "we are especially interested in homeowners, who were forced to use the home builder's title insurance company. We have seen instance after instance where a national home builder set up little more than a shell title insurance company, that then resold the title insurance to a real title insurance company for $.35 cents on the dollar. We think this is very wrong, and we intend to fix this outrage. In the case of national home builders offering title insurance, we think hundreds of thousands of unsuspecting consumers could have been over charged by over a thousand dollars each, or more". The National Mortgage Complaint Center wants to hear from any US consumer who purchased a new home from a national home builder, who felt pressured into using the home builders mortgage or title insurance company. At no charge to the consumer, the National Mortgage Complaint Center will review the homeowners mortgage documents, to see if they might be a victim. The National Mortgage Complaint Center's web site is located at Http://NationalMortgageComplaintCenter.Com and their toll free number is 866-714-6466.
The following types of homeowners should contact the National Mortgage Complaint Center for a free review of their documents:
* Any homeowner who purchased a new home from a home builder between 2005 & 2007.
* Any homeowner who felt forced to us a national home builders mortgage and title insurance company between 2005 & 2007.
* Any homeowner who was shocked at a home builders mortgage fees, or title insurance charges from January 1st 2005 to December 31st 2007.
Americas Watchdog's National Mortgage Complaint Center is on record as having deep concerns over title insurance pricing, with respect to US homeowners. The National Mortgage Complaint Center has alleged that US title insurance companies frequently share rate card information with each other, in order that title insurance prices are anything but competitive. Americas Watchdog would also like to hear from current or former title insurance company executives, who may have specific information about home builder shell title insurance companies, price fixing, or kick backs between title insurance companies and especially national home builders. A consumer or a title insurance company insider can call the National Mortgage Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466.
Americas Watchdog & its National Mortgage Complaint Center are all about homeowner protection and corporate responsibility. Their web site is located at Http://NationalMortgageComplaintCenter.Com
