PNC's Charlotte McLaughlin Among "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking"

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 2, 2007 -- Charlotte McLaughlin, president and chief executive officer of PNC Capital Markets LLC (https://www.pnc.com), a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.(NYSE:PNC), was named one of the "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" by U.S. Banker magazine in its October issue. McLaughlin was selected from over 4,800 nominees based on her influence on PNC, the banking industry and the community.

For the publication's 5th annual ranking, U.S. Banker's selection criteria was based on both qualitative and quantitative aspects of the nominee's performance, including leadership skills, financial performance, job complexity, corporate governance and ethics, and contribution to the company's bottomline.

McLaughlin was recognized for the development of PNC's Financial Institutions Group, which was launched under her direction in 2005. The Financial Institutions Group provides mid-sized banks and other financial institutions with a variety of strategies, tools and services to better assess their own portfolios and to improve management of their assets, risks and operations. PNC has identified opportunities nationwide with an emphasis in a 12-state region in the Mid-Atlantic plus Massachusetts and Illinois.

"Charlotte demonstrated a true entrepreneurial spirit in building the FIG business at PNC from scratch," said Bill Demchak, vice chairman of PNC. "This was an institution that had no history or experience in those areas of the capital markets and hedging businesses that are now the foundation of an innovative balance sheet solution that is used by PNC and shared with other financial institutions."

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (www.pnc.com) is one of the nation's largest diversified financial services organizations providing consumer and business banking; specialized services for corporations and government entities, including corporate banking, real estate finance and asset-based lending; wealth management; asset management and global fund services.

Tax foreclosures property investment could be a nightmare investment
The term ?Tax Foreclosures? is a legal procedure or process that is expected to occur if a buyer defaults on a loan or the taxes applicable on the property, which he lends for mortgage. The lender or lending institution takes back the hold of the property because of irresponsibility of the borrower in paying off dues and applicable taxes or loan applied on mortgaged property for whatsoever reasons.
