If We Don't Get A Mortgage Loan, I'm Going to Sue for The Sake of My Entire Generation

The current shaky climate of the real estate market, the unethical practices of real estate "professionals" -- particularly the realtors and mortgage brokers--and the problem of suburban sprawl, as well as the sprawl of laziness, procrastination, hopelessness, and unrealized dreams, has created a dire situation that demands radical action!

That is why Caroline, the author of the new book "Naturbia," is hopping mad. "I have been playing fair because I know, that's the best way to play. And surprise! It's not working!"

A native Californian, of Middle Eastern and Northern European descent, Caroline is a 34-year-old resident of Rio Nido, California. She replanted back in California from New York City seven years ago, where she went to school and worked. Caroline is the founder of Future Resident, a worker-owned company focused on creating a better future for the younger generations. She is a futurist researcher, brand strategist, and a leading thinker on the subject of the dangers of suburban sprawl and human apathy about our future.

She moved to the countryside of California to learn more about the cultural climate of these areas because, as she proclaims, "I knew nature was the future." Caroline asserts the new generation of adults is being shut out of home and land ownership by shady real estate "professionals," unhelpful parents with blinders on, lack of concern for our future, and the raping of the earth by avaricious land developers stuck in a "do it like we always have" method of developing. It is her firm belief that our young people are doomed to renting overpriced dwellings from "investment Lords" as she calls them, and struggling towards absolutely nothing in life if we all don't open our eyes and do something about the problems in the real estate industry. And now.

"So, I didn't want to believe it. I mean, there has to be one good realtor and one good mortgage person out there! But, one experience showed me exactly why I haven't found those people: they learn from each other to watch out for themselves rather than their clients' best interests."

Caroline has had so many negative experiences with greedy, lazy, and unhelpful realtors and mortgage brokers that she is actually considering launching a lawsuit against the powers-that-be of the real estate industry for the sake of her generation.

"I am extremely serious. If someone doesn't get off their ass, I am going to sue every single person involved in the transaction and hold the industry at large accountable until something very seriously changes. I may even do what Bono did with the word "f*&k" -- take it all the way to the Supreme Court if I have to."

Caroline has been struggling for the past seven years of her life like the rest of her generation due to the problems in the real estate industry. Only recently, due to the hurting condition of the real estate market, are people paying attention to the deficiencies that industry "professionals" create. Mortgage brokers have been giving out loans to people who can't really afford them, and charging excessive fees to line their own pockets. Young people are forced to look at homes that can hardly be considered "habitable" because of the prohibitive costs of real estate created in the boom of the early part of the century. In Caroline's view, realtors should be fighting harder for their clients to get the most for their dollar and earning their high commissions with exemplary customer service. But instead they are focused on making as much money, as quickly as possible, and regularly drop the ball if the client doesn't seem like an easy commission.

Caroline believes if the problems in the real estate industry are not addressed soon, the new generation of adults will never be able to lay claim on their piece of the American dream, nonetheless fix its problems.

"If you keep killing us by not making space for us, real space, on this planet, we all lose. Because in my research, seven years and counting, you (older folks) aren't changing your ways too quickly, so if anyone is going to solve world problems because of clarity about real bipartisan solutions, it's my generation," she says.
